Leo was looking at AI intently as everyone introduced themselves, though unlike others, he wasn't worried about their talents, or their names, but about the amount of talent the programmer had to have to make Ai, the AI. When the therapist introduced himself, Leo closed up his entire body posture more than it already was, just cringing at the word therapist. Just stay away from him, alright? No biggie. He tried desperately not to think of the medications he had taken when he was first recruited by the government to try to get rid of that voice in his head, but nothing ever worked. Then again, Leo didn't want to get rid of Nolen. He was a protector. He could take over when things got too rough. Leo just wished Nolen was a little nicer. I heard that. Right. Shared thoughts.
Leo was all for intelligent programming, the more intelligent the programmer, the harder the problem would get. Challenge was the only thing that he and Nolen really enjoyed together. Nolen got bored reading. Leo hated it when Nolen would try to hurt someone... that sort of thing. Leo finally looked away from the AI as the introductions ended, trying not to seem obsessed. Even if he was.
He used his fork to move around his food, not really hungry now that there was a problem to solve. Eat. You need your strength. Right. He took a bite and looked around the table. He wasn't one to start conversations, but he was going to have to know these people. "So... uh..." Right, Nolen said it wasn't a pleasure to meet any of them. They probably didn't want to talk to him anyways. Well, that made things easier for him. But still, he might try to mend fences at least. He retreated back and turned back to his food, unable to think of anything good to say. Maybe later. It's always later with you.
And so, that was how Leo ended up grabbing his correct card and finding a spot away from everyone else to sit.

Post by Junichi "iTchY" Kichise on Jul 23, 2015 17:59:19 GMT
Chanting his thanks at the unnamed vice headmaster and junior advisor, Junichi also inclined his head in Ai's direction before getting to his feet. Prompted by the people who went before him, the brunet advanced towards the boxes in the middle of the table and took a moment to comb the cards, gently thumbing through the stack and doing his best to not upset it. The male eventually retrieved the correct key --identified by the name spanned across the it-- and retreated, looking over the platters spread almost entirely across the table's cloth. It seemed like a waste to ignore the countless dishes even when he'd already eaten; with that in mind, he took a plate and began searching for something light. Jun turned his focus to Minako. He smiled.
"Sure thing, I'd be happy to come along. Just give me a moment."
Taking a napkin and setting it on his plate, Junichi seized two halves of a sandwich (filling unknown) and enveloped the triangles in the white material for easy portability. He didn't like the idea of carrying the plate with him since it wasn't made of something cheap, so this way he could travel and eat at the same time. He also went to grab his bag, having left it on his seat, but then stopped when he spotted a serving of gelatin.
'Yoink!'
Armed with a sandwich and some jelly cubes, Jun walked up to Minako and then looked at Sakura.
"Coming?"

Daniel simply gave an appreciative nod towards Ai, the vice headmaster and the junior advisor. The name Hitomi Saigyo didn't ring a bell, but he thought that somone who held the title of Ultimate Designer knew what they had to do, so he wasn't worried at all. Even so, there was no problem in simply listening to what Ai had to say.
After having seen several students before him nab the keycard with their name on it, he reached out towards the one that said 'Daniel Saotome'. With the keycard in hand, he twisted and turned it to look at it from all possible directions, just to see how it was designed. Once he was done admiring the newly attained object, he put it into one of his pockets.
"I'll just keep this safe so I'm not locked out of my own room.", the Procrastinator thought.
The food before him looked tasty, and he didn't have time to eat breakfast yet, which worked out pretty well for him. He was pretty hungry, so he helped himself to two sandwiches with cheese and salad and two sushi rolls. He debated with himself if he should eat an apple as well, but then decided against it. Once his stomach was filled, he decided to explore the building for a bit.
"This is seriously a nice trip so far. I don't think I can ask for more. Doing peace talks is the least I could do for this kind of service."

Sakura mutters a quick thanks to the vice headmaster and junior advisor- did they mention their names? She couldn’t hear anything over her stomach growling- and dutifully reaches over to retrieve her key card. It’s like a hotel, or something- so fancy! Sakura has to rifle through the box a bit before she finds the one with her name on it, feeling slightly embarrassed that it took her a while; she doesn’t want to hold other people up, or something.
Once she’s retrieved her card, Sakura looks over the spread of food, considering what she should have. Everything looks so yummy…
Sakura glances over at Minako when she hears the question.
Sakura waits a moment, contemplating. Although she’d love to stay at the table all day and eat everything there was to offer… exploring sounded way cooler!
“I’d love to! Just let me grab something real quick.”
She takes a sip of her coffee, remembers why she hates coffee, and settles on grabbing something that looks like a pastry that has chocolate on it. Noticing Junichi wrapping his own food in a napkin, she follows suit and then grabs her bag from the floor beside her seat.
“Of course!” Sakura replies cheerfully, walking over to join her two new friends. “I have to get you back for making me the rotten egg.” She tells Junichi with a very serious expression before giving the two of them a big smile. “Anyways, let’s go have an adventure!”

Without the shock of her sudden arrival, Mai was struck by how odd the AI sounded. The way her monotonous voice lilted just slightly- it was strange, and dissonant. Mai had to struggle not to shift in her chair at it, pretending to tuck her skirt under her. However uneasy she felt, though, there was no denying that the introduction had gone over smoother than she'd expected, with not even an odd look; so when she got up to get her card key from the pile, it was a little less tense than before.
She peered down into the box. It never failed to amaze her how much Hope's Peak was willing to funnel into their education. Mai snatched up the card with her name on it, and then her eyes shifted around the room for something to eat. There was a huge variety of breakfast foods- eggs, sausages, anything- but Mai wasn't tickled by any of it. Her stomach still felt in tatters from the introduction speech, but the headmaster's promise of exercise rooms had caught her interest. If anything could relax her, it was a bit of stabbing. But she'd skipped breakfast on the way, and if she was going to get any real practice done, she'd need something in her stomach. Mai reached for a plate, and finally decided on the least offensive item: a scone sitting alone on a plate, and quickly snatched it up before grabbing a butter knife to top her breakfast off with marmalade.
Getting up, her eyes caught someone, then she remembered- tat Haruka girl, the student council president- had been eyeing, hadn't she? Well, she hoped she didn't mind if she took the last one. It couldn't help to be safe, though- turning to the black-haired girl, she gestured to the scone, half-pasted with Marmalade, and gave a polite smile. She had seemed nice enough in her introduction. "I hope you don't mind."

Haruka smiled at the mentioning of Siagyo. Most of the items in her wardrobe and room at home were from Siagyo's collection, and she was known for quality production and craftsmanship. It was the best news she had gotten all morning. She smiled more at the introduction of the headmaster and junior advisor. It was great to have a sense of authority - letting teenagers, especially first and second years, try to self govern themselves always ended in failure. So, of course, that's exactly what they did. Left the two dozen or so - she didn't have time to count all the heads - students alone to their own devices. This doesn't bode well. Where was the gentle, guiding eye of authority and democracy? This would only end in pure anarchy. Haruka sighed, gathering her I.D. - a plain white card with her name on it (boring) and started collecting the plate she had already planned out in her head, until she reached the scones - one left. She reached for it, before a slender hand rocketed out from out of her vision and grabbed it. The sheer avarice! She'd already made it clear that the scones - at least one - belonged to her, and this young woman - child, more like it - had stolen it right out from under her nose! Haruka grimaced - that is no way for someone to act to a senior, a senpai - but quickly put on a fake smile, one that she had practiced over the years. "No, I don't mind. Help yourself." Fencer, wasn't it? Of course, the practitioner of a brutish, ancient sport would act in this manner. After finishing her now empty-feeling brunch, Haruka neatly cleaned up after herself and noticed that a few people had already gone to "explore the mansion". Apparently they didn't take the time to research the place before arriving. So, as she placed her plate away, she decided to take a self-guided tour based on her research.

It'd seemed most others had begun to get along pretty quickly, which hadn't exactly been a surprise. But it certainly was faster than he expected. It was almost as if as soon as the AI stopped talking, people were already becoming friends. He was conflicted to see it, surely not wanting to break into any cliques but perhaps form his own if at all possible. Maybe it's easier said than done.
His usual breakfast plan was out the window with this spread, he had expected food here but he looked around slightly unsure of what to have. The mention of who made the rooms made him look up from the food a bit, such a brilliant name. He'd heard of how much that designer was, surely it was too good to be true to be staying in such a place.
His mind was quite caught up in all the excitement of the situation. The therapist looked for a place to sit where it wouldn't be disturbing. Eventually deciding to sit opposite Paris, she seemed pretty nice and calm enough. A good contrast from Amelia at least.
"Ah, good morning...Paris Eins wasn't it?" The other seemed shy and timid, yet befriending her was worth a shot.

Victor looked around as Ai said that the card keys were on the center and when he found them he searched through the bunch as neatly as he could without damaging them, which went surprisingly well considering how much of a clumsy oaf people seemed to deem him. When he found the card that had his name, he studied it for a moment, observing that it just looked like a bunch of cardboard, but hey, who knows how it may work, so he went back to his seat to look and study the marvelous looking cardboard. when the two counslers came over he still had his card in his hand, and he sat up straight with his eyes on them, as he learned in his little education in educate. the counselors seemed to know what they were talking about, so Victor felt mildly more comfortable about the whole situation, but with all these new people here he had a hard time taking everything in.
when the tanned lady said that they could eat, he stood up and went over to where he assumed all the tasty smells were coming from. when he did he momentarily forgot about the bag of hamburgers on top of his trunk. At the food area, Victor noticed all the different kinds of foods there were. some familiar, most not. So he decided to go with the basics and what he was used to. taking the tongs he picked up a few strips of bacon, eggs, grits, and a hash brown, which was plenty compared to what he normally had for breakfast. After he got his food he went over to amelia, the Ultimate Pilot.
'Pretty darn fancy place here, really different from home too" he stated cheerfully, but a little nostalgically

Keasha wasn't very hungry herself. She never had been hungry in the mornings. So she just listened carefully. She didn't care about what these professors thought in terms of her personality, why should she care? Her number one concern was the AI, if it was a true AI, the possibility existed that it would revolt, as unlikely as that was. She figured she was being silly, but those movies her Dad made Keasha watch with him didn't help much. She chose to assume that it wouldn't revolt however, and left it be, if only for her sanity's sake.
No one appeared rather interested in her, however, and she couldn't care less frankly. She wasn't the most social person, despite the contests she takes part in. She quickly reached over and shuffled around, finding her key card rather quickly, despite it being the last one she checked. She took note of the white color, and figured that would make it hard to lose the thing. She stood up and went to leave, a light smile on her face. "I'm off to check out my room myself, I suppose I'll see you all at a later time!"

Post by Lucca Bello on Jul 24, 2015 3:00:32 GMT
After the initial shock of seeing that strange hologram, Lucca started to calm down. He looked around the room at all of the other students there, they all seemed to have personalities just as colorful as their appearances. Lucca felt really out of place. Even though he was just like them, being a famous actor, he was dressed kind of plain for an occasion like this. But despite that he still was hoping to become friends with all of them. “I can already tell that I’m gonna have a good time here”, Lucca thought to himself. He got up from his chair and left his bag there so that no one else could claim his chair, and went over to the box where all of the all of the cards were. On his card was his name in big bold letters. He put the card in his back pocket along with his mask and walked over to where the breakfast was. He had skipped breakfast that morning because he was in quite the rush, and he was starving. He grabbed a plate and began looking around at the wide assortment of food. He picked up a couple cinnamon muffins and a donut and put them all on his plate. Lucca had a serious sweet tooth and he wasn’t afraid to show it. He wolfed down his food and drank his whole mug of coffee, which he put a lot of cream and sugar in. He let out a big sigh and looked around the room. He wanted to go look around the mansion, but he didn’t want to go alone. He noticed that almost everyone was already talking with other people. He didn’t want to disturb anyone so he wanted to invite someone who was alone. In the end he walked up to Zulfikar. “Hey there Zulfikar, would you like to come explore the rest of the mansion with me? I’d love to get to know you better!” Lucca exclaimed boldly.

Post by Amelia Smith on Jul 24, 2015 13:51:02 GMT
Amelia was polite and patient as she listening to these introductions. That huge amount of energy she had before had simmered down to a point that seemed more tolerable for those who weren't big on energetic people like her. Not that she minded if it bothered them either way, which it didn't seem to since people had approached her. This must've meant that she was doing something right. Right?
She picked up the key card, Amelia Smith written in those magnificent letters. A teensy bit of her energy picked up as she wanted to see her room. Surely it had an RC plane in there. Her favorite type of toy for when she was away from the landing strip. But when they said food, her priorities switched. She shoved her key card into her back pocket. Seeing the various arrays of food, she was truly interested and figured now would be a good time to try new things. That idea was knocked out of her head fairly quickly. It's the first morning, she my as well eat what she's used to and try new things later. Thus, she grabbed the tongs and added some eggs, some hash browns and bacon. She piled on quite a few bacon strips before sitting down. It didn't take long for her to be joined by someone.
"Definitely." She agreed with Victor, a joyous chuckle following. Her elbows sat in front if her, sitting on the table. To most this wouldn't be considered proper etiquette, but she was comfortable this way. A piece of bacon waved with her hand as she spoke. "I would have never expected to be able to live in a place this extravagant, even if it's for a short while~" with that, she bit into her bacon. She crossed her legs, swallowing before speaking again. "Though I plan to savor each moment!" Her tone remained enthusiastic, especially when talking to another person.

Post by Petre Lupei on Jul 24, 2015 20:57:21 GMT
Petre listened intently to the rest of the introductions, determined to remember everyone, though he did feel a bit bad that he had missed many of the earlier introductions. He would have to meet the others more personally at a later time. The girl was another oddity to him. She looked like some kind of hologram, and he was sure that had been explained previously as well. Maybe he would find someone who could explain that to him later. The mention of Siagyo caught his attention. He had always been intrigued by the Ultimate Designer's works, even having a few pieces back at home. But all of their rooms being fully furnished, according to their personalities and tastes, by her? That had to have taken a lot of time and money. He wanted to know what his own looked like. Reaching across the table, his eyes quickly picked out the card with Petre Lupei written on it, so he took it for himself and slid it into his lab coat pocket.
After the dismissal from the two counselors, professors, he wasn't sure what he should refer to them during this outing, he finished his cup of coffee. It wasn't the strongest, but it would have to do. Next, he got himself a plate and prepared a salad on it, topping it with a scoop of eggs, and looked around the room. Many of the other students were pairing off or else going out into the mansion themselves. Not finding anyone to talk to immediately, he simply finished his breakfast, then grabbed the handle of his suitcase as he left the catering hall. He wanted to see the rest of this place too. If he ran into someone else, that would be ideal. Otherwise, he would head to his personal room to check it out as well.

Sometimes the only pay-off for having any faith Is when it's tested again and again everyday I'm still comparing your past to my future It might be your wound but they're my sutures The tick that had appeared between Kiyomine's brow during Calhoun's flashy entrance only deepened into a narrow-eyed look of suspicion the moment the two apparent advisors revealed themselves. Ai might have been one thing, and Kiyomine hadn't minded her, but these two... I.N.S.T.A.N.T.D.I.S.L.I.K.E.☆ Honors what now? This was the first he'd heard about that. And what, did the administration just sit on its ass all day or something? To think the vice headmaster would come all the way out here personally just to host this program, either this was more important than the mere "luxury stay" the junior divisor would like to make them think it was, or Hope's Peak was in worse hands than he thought. Right, of course there were the so-called "peace conferences" that were going to be held, but that was, as far as Kiyomine knew, something that wasn't so uncommon in the educational system. So what made this special? Because there was no way Hope's Peak Academy, top school in the nation and maybe even the world, was run by a bunch of lazy fatasses. And why hadn't anyone in charge dropped any fucking names?Okay, now he was over thinking things. This lot was probably just pretentious. There was no reason to think that something fishy was going on besides the fact that he had been dragged away from his friends and family to attend this shitty place (which, as far as Kiyomine was concerned, was practically a crime in itself). Disgusted with his own paranoid line of thought, Kiyomine straightened, shifting his duffel and stalking towards the door. Unlike most of his peers, he hadn't bothered with any pleasantries before he had started eating, and he had long since finished his food. On the way out, Kiyomine made sure to grab the card key with his name before leaving the room for good. no tags MADE BY VEL OF GS

Zulfikar kept a look of disbelief as the counselors... they're probably counselors... finished their speech. "We're being looked after by slightly bigger children. Hopes Peak must be confident about these two." Despite his skepticism, Zulfikar knew that even if he wanted to, it was too lake to back out now. Zulfikar picked up his room key and got ready to head out. But not before asking the counselors about those candles. They were nice candles, and they would at least make a nice light.
Zulfikar felt a bit defeated that he and the counselors didn't see eye-to-eye about the importance of the candle, but that doesn't mean he can't be friendly. "Sure! Why not? I've got nothing better to do." Once Zulfikar looked over the man he was talking to, he realized why they seemed so familiar. "That guy is Lucca Bello! I know him! I riffed one of his movies once! Let's hope he doesn't know about that." Anyways, exploring sounded like a good idea. Once he thought about it, there is one place in particular Zulfikar was interested in. "We should start with the basement."
"You're Lucca Bello, right? I'm going to go out on a limb and say that you got here because you're an actor." Lucca was definitely a good actor. Zulfikar couldn't even recognize him until he got up close. He seems nice enough, and nobody wants to miss out on a chance to meet a famous actor. "Maybe I can convince him to get a better agent. God knows he needs one." But he has time to complain later. For now he just needed to get along with Lucca, and he'll see what happens from there.
