(REACTION!)
"M-Miss Kobayashi!"
Despite the intense amount of strange and frightening events taking place, as shrapnel and smoke filled the room... Rin had caught a faint glance of the young woman falling to the ground.
Immediately coming to her side, it seemed like she was unresponsive... her eyes were open, but unfocused.
Her foot was twisted awkwardly... was there a broken bone? "Miss Angie? P-Please assist me, if you would!"

{Reaction post!}
"Kobayashi?!" Jarred from his state of disbelief following the girl's violent outrage, Junichi pushed off from his sitting position and almost fell face-first in his hurry. He skidded across the floor and fell to his knees next to the Seitokaicho, almost barrelling into Rin as well, the heavy scent of the explosion going ignored. "Is she okay? Oh my god..." What had they gotten themselves into...?!

Haruka heard the cries from the corner of her mind, but she wasn't focused on them. She was only concerned with the growing pain in her heel, one that she had grown to tolerate in her years of constant bone breakage and aching, but the pain still took over her body, traveling through her veins and her flesh. As she felt the hands of whoever cared grabbing her, propping her up, massaging her heel and doing whatever they were doing, she couldn't help but cry a bit, mostly from the horrible, aching agony, but she didn't bother to wipe it away or hope nobody saw. She just let the pain overtake her, hoping that it would, eventually, make her pass out into a blissful slumber that would hopefully last until she recovered.

Mai's vision came back to her one thing at a time: the pristine waxed floor of the ballroom; people around her, scrambling awake; the stage, and a- bear? A black and white bear was standing on the stage.
She wanted to go back to sleep.
But… what was he saying? The screeching, high-pitched voice dragged her back into the situation, kicking and screaming. "Come on, you lazy bastards, pick yourselves up!"
Her eyes shot open. She was dreaming. Had to be. There was no way a bear was standing on the stage on its own. But there it was; black and white with one scrawled red eye, like some demented kid had vandalized half of a children's toy. Mai shoved herself up from the ground and scrambled to her feet, shoes skidding noisily against the floor. Where was the AI? Where were the teachers? Why was this- thing- in their building?
"I'm Monokuma, your actual host on this lovely little mansion retreat!" Mai went stock still, blood racing to her head. A joke- it was a- The fencer looked around frantically to see the laughing, the chiding, but everyone seemed confused, angry, tense. No one was laughing.
You're all going to stay here forever in this wonderful place with me!"
Rules? Schedule? Punishment? And this was the punch line? Sweat was beading at her head now. Was this a kidnapping? It had to be. This whole, terrible thing was a ploy to gather the Ultimates in one place and sell them off to their families for millions. Mai's nails dug into her fists. When she got out, she would kill whoever it was that set this whole thing up.
Not unless Haruka would get there first. In a second the Ultimate Student Council President was rushing up to the stage, stomping on the bear's face. A wide grin burst out on her face despite herself. She'd never liked the girl more. Then like a sick joke, another bear was up on the stage, talking like nothing had happened, and the screech of an explosion and Haruka was down, ankle bent in a way ankles shouldn't have bended. All the blood drained from her face.
"Shit. Shit!" Her voice was leaking out from behind her hand, desperate and manic. Panicked eyes searched for the bear. This was unreal. "There's been an injury! So- call the doctors, the, the ambulance- whoever! You can't get a ransom if you kill the hostages!" But all the same she had a death grip on her arm. They were going to kill Haruka. Haruka. Rich, posh, probably-descended-from-royalty Haruka. If they could do that, then they were all free game.

For one the had been very excited for the peace talk subject, the reality came crashing down all too quickly. Until Ai had begun glitching, the therapist had been looking forward to shining at his talent, sure he would prove himself, not that he had to. Either way, that came to an end all too soon in his book...And likely everyone else's as well.
The floor was cold, unfamiliar, how did he get down here? Just moments ago he'd been standing in pure darkness, sure he felt faint but didn't think he'd actually do it..Damn, his side hurt a bit, he assumed he'd landed on it strangely. He bruised easily at the best of times so he was sure that that would be painful tomorrow. He pushed himself up to a kneeling position, looking around everyone else to make sure they were alright, then looking at the eerily strange bear.No way this could be happening...A bear the actual leader? What kind of joke was this...Some initiation prank perhaps? Yeah....That had to be it. No way they woulc be stucl here forever...No way no one would notice. They had family to get back to, friends! Patients...He couldn't stay stuck in this place forever. His rules seemed like one an actual teacher would give...Get up at a certain time, stay in your room at night, don't break anything. This had to be some teacher pulling an elaborate prank.
That was the way it seemed at least, until Haruka stepped up to the podium. He knew she'd have some inner rage but this was quite something, so much so he shuffled back a bit during it. The sight was a little strange to watch, was everyone so worked up...it was just a prank right? ....Right....? That's how it seemed...Until he started seeing double. Two bears. One was bad, two made him confused...The explosion is what made reality set in, no way...This was going to far. He took a while to gather his words as he looked at the bear, then at Haruka who seemed in severe agony.
Keep a level head, Hitoshi...Don't panic...Don't panic...She'll be okay...That, it's just an injury. She said she got hurt easily...So long as no one tried that again, they'd be fine. Haruka would be fine...She'd be fine....I hope so..
He repeated this to himself, after all what kind of therapist panics like this, though he could feel his palms getting sweaty and himself tremble. He bit his lip and spoke up, so many questions going through his head but one still bothered him. "You never said how we get out...The third rule...Assuming it's not the violence one" He looked at Haruka, worried, then back to bear. "So..Monokuma, if you've trapped us here...And there's a chance to get out...How do we do that?" He hoped moving the conversation on didn't make him seem heartless, but people were dealing with Haruka...Plus, this needed to be answered. "And Doctors? If we can't get out how do we get her injury treated?" Man...he sounded more emotional than he intended, upset and worried obvious in his wavering voice. Damn...He hated it.

Victor was sort of excited to go to such a interesting sounding talk like what the nice A.I lady said, but was not expecting the lights to go out. Clutching his plushie tightly, like it was protecting it from the dark and all of the scary things lurking in it. So when everyone passed out, he dropped to the ground with a large THUD, and began to snooze heavily with his plushie, as he hasn't had any sleep for a while now.
Victor was pretty confused as the voice spoke, but picked himself up regardless and listened to the cartoon voice, which sounded pretty legit in the crudely drawn world that is his mind. He didn't mind the new voice, it almost made him laugh and break out into a smile, but he refrained himself, as that would make him look unprofessional, and he was trying his best to look serious for whatever was going to happen
When the Stuffed teddy popped out, Victor couldn't control himself. A big big smile grew on his face, not in disbelief or denial, but since he was so stupid, he was smiling because he thought the plushie was so damn cute. he actually wanted to give him a big hug, having a plushie himself. He was about to make his introduction when the others then made their reaction. Then the bear said the first rule out of his book. Victor nodded his head, since staying in this place forever wouldn't necessarily be so bad, since it was much nicer then anything he ever owned. And the curfew and other parts of rule one, he still nodded, his stupidity not grasping around the concept of most people's alarm and panic around him.
what happened next was sorta shocking. After rule two was said, HAruka, of all the people, got up and started to stamp down on the poor teddy until it's metal endoskeleton was showing. then when she cried out in pain and people came over to help, victor just stayed in his spot, watching. when the Bear, Monokuma, whom Victor assummed was the mascot spoke, Victor looked back at the podium, now blissfully oblivious to the sounds of people trying to help Haruka. now that there was an opening, poor, stupid, oblivious Victor decided to make his hello introduction to the bear. Taking off his hat and waving it excitedly for his hello and giving a small "howdy Partner!", he then put his hat back on and waved an arm of his plushie, to make it as if the plushie was waving hello. the plushie itself was only slightly smaller then Monokuma the mascot, and Victor wondered why anyone would like to escape this place, which seemed really really fancy and interesting. He was already wondering if there were secret passages, like in the movies and picture books.

{OOC: I was told I could post since KashKey isn't around} Darkness...all around him. Lucca was floating in a black limbo. He was alone with nothing but his thoughts. "Where am I? How did I get here? All I remember was that I was going to the ballroom from the library. Everyone was there and then suddenly everything went dark."Suddenly Lucca jerked awake. His vision was blurry and he had a splitting headache. He rubbed his eyes and yawned. He felt as if he'd had been asleep forever. He noticed that everyone else was already standing up. They all seemed to be looking at something, and they looked, scared. Lucca stood up and saw what they had all been staring at. His mouth was hanging open, his eyes wide open, and his voice shaky. "I-Is that.... a bear? A real fuckin bear?" "Wait what? There no way a bear could ever be a headmaster at a school. B-but wait a minute. How the hell is that thing talking!? Bears don't fucking talk, i-it's not natural!" Lucca usually didn't cuss that much but it was times like this where he felt it was necessary. Lucca was in a panic and he could see that everyone else was too. When Lucca heard this he felt a sudden pain in his chest. "What about my sister and my mother. I won't be able to see them again? No way, I can't believe that. I refuse to believe that." Lucca fully believed that this was some sort of prank, there was no way this was happening. "N-no that's bullshit. THAT'S COMPLETE FUCKING BULLSHIT!" At this point Lucca had lost it, he was having a good day but then this stupid-ass bear comes along and ruins it. "You can't just kidnap us and expect to get away with it y-you fucking Satanic Build-A-Bear! Someone will find us, a-and save us." Lucca was suddenly cut of when a girl ran past him and was screaming at the top of her lungs. He recognized the girl as Haruka Kobayashi. She kicked the bear and dug her heel deep into the bear's face, exposing the metal endoskeleton underneath all of its fur. Suddenly another one popped out and caused the other one to explode, luckily Haruka kicked it out of the way in time. But suddenly she just....collapsed. "Oh my god, a-are you ok!?" Lucca had rushed over and checked to see if she was ok. His eyes shot over to the second bear that came out of nowhere. "Look at what you've done, you fucking monster."

"Kids, kids, I've already told you- no one's coming! You signed up for this retreat and then to head on over to the School of Kiss-Asses a few doors down. Everybody all thinks you're safe and sound- bet you didn't realize on your way in here that the walls and doors are pretty much soundproof, and for that matter... everything's locked up tight! Even if the fuzz had any idea what on Earth is going on in here, there's no way they could get inside here." he reestablished.
Then came Mai's comment.
"Hostages, eh? That... that's an interesting description all right, but that's not exactly what I'd call you. After all, what I'm looking for isn't any silly ransom money or basically any material possessions whatsoever. You and me? We're both here for something money can't buy- an experience." he clarified.
"And that brings me to my last rule- and that is, in fact... that we are all to be playing a very interesting game with one another. So, whichever person in here really, really wants to leave more than anything else in the world... I'll let you!" he said jovially, waving a paw to his caged audience. Monokuma cleared his voice mockingly, before announcing:
"Whoever wants to leave, I just have one simple request that anyone could theoretically fulfill- commit a little homicide! The method's not important- bludgeoning... beheading... stabbing... drowning... burning... poisoning... choking... electrocuting... mauling... seriously, anything you can think of. But if any of you would be willing to kill one another and make absolutely sure that no one else knows that it's you... I'll let you out, I give my word! As a bonus, I'll even do away with everyone else if you can do that! You'll be the only survivor. On the other hand... get caught, and it's off with your head!" he said, doing his best impression of the Queen of Hearts, complete with a sword-swinging motion of his claws. "It's simple, honestly- the perfect way of generating unending despair. It's a kill-or-be-killed situation out here in the real world, so hop to it!"
Finally, there he was, being called a monster.
"Hmm~." he mused for a moment, before trying to contain a laugh. "... Upupu... nyahahahahahaha! Kid, don't tease yourself. Everyone has a little so-called 'monster' inside of them, it's just well-hidden under layers of false kindness and politeness- it's how society works. With enough pressure, you could get even the most compassionate person in the world to off someone! If anything, I wear my feelings on my sleeve- Mr. Monokuma never tells a lie, and that's a given! You could bet on the fact that within a week, one of you bastards is going to turn into a 'monster' yourself. "

Amelia was truly excited for their first meeting. She entered with a light heart, a skip to her step. She felt at the top of the world. That is, until the lights went out. She did her best to contain the shriek her throat so badly wanted to let out. The dark was not her forte. All that could be heard from her was an internal whining as the panic continued.
When she awoke, she felt a pain in her shoulder from how she landed. She tried to take her time, moving to her knees. The pilot wobbled a bit as she stood. Her hand rubbed her shoulder as she watched and listened to everything that was going on. A bastard, huh? Making fun of my talent, huh?! Her American fighting spirit was starting to get the best of her as this bear was continuing to make comments. For once in her life, though, she decided to let the scene play out without intervening. At the rate this was going, she was only beginning to get frustrated above all else. She gritted her teeth, with each worried notion from her fellow students, she felt compelled to help- when she knew there was truly nothing she could do. As Minako spoke out, she swallowed hard.
“Z-Zero bars? How in the world am I going to contact my gramps..?” That unbreakable spirit of hers was beginning to crack. She bit her lips inward, beginning to feel a strange emotion in her chest. Fear.
Amelia had almost danced along through life. She was hardly afraid of anything. She could fly a plane alone with no problem if she wanted to, and not even that would scare her. But this. Seeing so many people quiver in fear or yell in detest due to a stuffed animal, she couldn’t help but be scared herself. This rare fear showed in the girls eyes as her expression darkened. To hide this, she slid her goggles from her head to a place over her eyes. She didn’t want anyone to see this expression of hers. She gave a bright smile now that her true emotions were hidden behind a pair of aviator goggles. “Let’s not get too worked up, I---” Her voice cut off when the bear said a few certain words. That’s what the bear said. They were caged. Caged. Caged..Caged!With that statement said, Amelia felt her legs begin to shake. It only took a few minutes for them to give out. Her goggles fell from her eyes to her neck as she thumped to the floor. She looked confused, almost lost as the bear continued. I’m not meant to be a caged bird. That’s not.. Her thoughts trailed off as conversing continued, though everything waved in and out. The unbreakable spirit had broken so easily. Just from a few simple words. She looked at her lap as she listened to the rules. These were no problem for her, but living here for so long? She couldn’t even imagine doing such a thing. When Haruka had gotten injured, she didn’t move from her spot on the ground. She was still trying to fathom her future in this situation. Her body locked up. Her mind was still there but she could not yet bring herself to respond. It wasn’t until Monokuma’s final statement came into play that she said anything. She forced herself to her feet. It took her entire essence to hide that fear she had been feeling only a few seconds earlier. She had to remain strong. That’s what gramps would do. She brought her goggles back to her forehead. Her body still felt a bit locked, but it wasn’t anything that couldn’t be worked through. She gave a bright grin, though it was obviously fake as she was trying to be strong for everyone. She had to be. That’s just who she was. "Don’t be stupid.” She spoke above the rest in her typical, loud voice. “Killing each other? Sure, not everyone will get along! But we can find our own way!” She placed her hands on her hips. She soon believed in her own fake confidence, and her fake smile soon became a real one. Her hips swayed to the side as she spoke to the bear in her obnoxiously confident manner. Her natural voice booming with joy. “We can’t be saved? Ok!” She gives a thumbs up. “Can’t destroy some things? Not a problem!” She waved her hand in front of her dismissively. “But if there’s one thing I can say, it’s that I have faith that no one here is selfish enough to take such an offer! Surely, we can find out our way!” For a moment, she almost forgot her fear of not being able to experience the outdoors once again. But she refused to allow herself to be beat by such a detail. For now, she had to be strong. She had to show more confidence than she ever had, even if it was fake.

Post by Petre Lupei on Jul 30, 2015 10:52:24 GMT
Petre entered the ballroom in high spirits. He had already met one of the other students here today, and he was hoping that by the end of the night, he could also get to know the rest. They all seemed like a nice bunch of people, who had all made friends already. Except maybe the Student Council girl, who was dragging in the Prima Donna, but surely there was more to that than what he could just see. Turning his attention to Ai, the mood of the room was broken as everything suddenly went dark. A shudder of panic went through him and he blinked. Once. Twice. Then relaxed again when he heard the voices of staff around them. It had simply been the lights going out. You're panicking over nothing, Petre...
Slowly opening his eyes, Petre realized he was on the floor. When did I get here? Looking around, it seemed the other students were in the same situation he was in. Sitting up, he placed a hand on his face, feeling around, over his eyes, making sure everything was in place. Satisfied with that, he focused on his surroundings in time to see a... bear??? rise up from a podium out of the ground. Wait, what? A bear? A plushie bear was talking to them? He had seen some pretty weird things, it was inevitable when dealing with murder, but this seriously took the cake.
It became less amusing though, and more horrifying when the bear started telling them about how they were trapped here. Locked in. That couldn't be right. He looked around, hoping to see something that would tell him this was all an elaborate hoax. Trapped inside this mansion with no way to get out in the foreseeable future... was that how he had felt? Petre shook his head. No, no, stop it. Now's not the time to think about him or my parents. He frowned. Wasn't anyone concerned about how they had all ended up passed out on the floor? No one seemed to be asking that question. Or how long they had been passed out either? But before he could voice these questions to the Monokuma plushie... robot... thing, Haruka attacked it, and he watched in stunned silence from the floor as the thing blew up.
As a few rushed to help the fallen girl, his mind raced to cope with what was happening. Someone had gotten hurt. This was real. Unable to think of anything to do, he sniffed the air, brain trying to identify what kind of explosive that had been (handmade or manufactured, triggered, timed, remote-controlled?) as he attempted to calm down.
His inner calm was breached once more as Monokuma finally announced how they could get free of this place. Murder. The bear said it like it was the most simple thing in the world. He was still sitting on the floor, having not had the peace of mind to get to his feet yet, but Petre still spoke up. "You can't be serious. Amelia is right, no one here would stoop to something like murder!" And he was sure of it. None of the students he had seen here looked like they showed the signs of a killer. He had seen murderers before. None of them here could be capable of such a thing. Right.....?

Post by Kiyomine Shimazu on Jul 30, 2015 21:32:53 GMT
Sometimes the only pay-off for having any faith Is when it's tested again and again everyday I'm still comparing your past to my future It might be your wound but they're my sutures It was with some trepidation that Kiyomine followed his summons to the ballroom. They had better not being doing anything more than talking in there; if anyone even dared to suggest they pair up and dance, Kiyomine was going to strangle someone. There had been no reason to think that anything was wrong or out of the ordinary. Not Ai's glitches (what the hell, was she watching them? Kiyomine made a surreptitious check for cameras) or the frantic voices from next door. (Something about a basement generator?) Not even the power outage. It wasn't until Kiyomine could see a black haze at the corners of his vision that he realized something was off, and by then, it was too late. Struggling to stay awake, the hedgehog could only silently curse at his own carelessness before he too succumbed to whatever strange thing was knocking all of them out. When the teen opened his eyes again, it was to bite back a groan of nausea. Most of the other kids getting back on their feet seemed fine if not a little disoriented and scared, but Kiyomine just felt sick. Gritting his teeth, he stood up anyway, readjusting his headphones from where they had shifted when he had fallen and giving himself a quick look over, taking the chance to shake off his discomfort. It seemed like he hadn't been harmed, just knocked out. But why? Another quick glance around told the spiky-haired teenager that he was still in the mansion ballroom, or at least somewhere that looked exactly the same. And then a fucking teddy bear had appeared, promising to explain what was going on. Frankly, Kiyomine could throw the thing farther than he trusted it, but a little information was better than nothing. The teen had striven for patience as some of the rest of the students started yelling and panicking, keeping his irritation in check as he cataloged every piece of information they were given. (He wasn't going to think about the very real possibility of not being able to see his partner or Ataraxia again. Not yet, and definitely not here in the midst of chaos. Hell, he didn't want to. Ever.) Kiyomine damn near facepalmed when the Ultimate Student Council President went nuts, kicking Monokuma down and crushing it under her foot. While part of him—the more angry and desperate part that he'd shoved on the back burner—approved completely, the colder, more logical side of him wanted to shake his head at the plain stupidity of the action. What had Kobayashi hoped to achieve by destroying their only source of information? He'd thought that she was one of the smarter ones in this group of twenty-three. At least now they all knew not to mess with Monokuma anymore. And at last, the final rule came. Well, not so much a rule than a death sentence. Kiyomine wasn't foolish enough to try and deny Monokuma's words. That was not only a waste of breath, but it was meaningless as well. A game—because what could this be other than a game?—like this was too elaborate to be a mere joke. And though he would be hard pressed to admit it, Monokuma had a point. Shooting Lupei a swift, unreadable glance, Kiyomine closed his eyes for a fraction of a second longer than a blink and turned away. It seemed Lupei had never met a trained killer before. Where would the underworld be if every assassin it had to offer couldn't hide who or what they were? No, they had every reason to think of each person as a potential murderer, even if they were about as close to normal as any talented geniuses could get. "You sound like you've seen this before," Kiyomine remarked coolly, addressing the cackling bear that had dragged them all into this mess. It was a stab in the dark, but Monokuma had sounded so certain that they would be driven to kill. Was that just theory backed by a charade of omniscience, or was there actual experience behind that claim? no tags MADE BY VEL OF GS

Zulfikar wasn't too interested about the meeting AI was giving. He did expect the peace talks to involve talking, but he didn't think of it as a bonding experience. The only things he heard were "paid vacation" and "800,000 yen." This speech on socialization was practically putting him to sleep. "This is almost as boring as that time I talked to Hitoshi. I bet he's enjoying this more than I am." He would need to take back that little comment once AI went on the fritz. Such an advanced machine must be complicated, so Zulfikar reasoned that it might break. The power going out was another story. At this point, Zulfikar was beginning to think that something might actually be wrong. The staff did say that the boiler was broken, and they looked busy enough to have multiple proects on their hands. Zulfikar was so preoccupied with the power going out that he barely noticed his oncoming fatigue until his face had reached the floor.
Zulfikar had woken up in a small puddle of drool and blood, both belonging to him. Zulfikar was bleeding from his forehead, an was clearly still dazed from his fall. His focus faded in and out during Monokuma's speech, but he could understand the gist of what was going on. "I love you Mambocrumble, you fucking chode piece of shit anarchist bumblebee!" Zulfikar had clearly hit his head a bit too hard, and continud to throw strange insults at the plush robot. While he did understand Monokuma's rules, his forehead wound and continuous loss of blood was making his coherency drop quickly.
"The fireworks festival is much smaller than last year. There were only 3 fireworks, and they all looked the same." The blood loss combined with his fall was beginning to impair more basic functions, like his sight. The blood was already starting to dry, which was a good sign that Zulfikar would suffer no permanent damage, but he would be like this for at least a few more hours. "The fireworks show must be better then I thought. I can hear people screaming in excitement."
Zulfikar gave a drowsy look directed at Victor, although his speech suggested that he had a different look in mind. "That guy's stupid. He's trying to talk to a bear. Everyone knows bears can't talk."

Monokuma simply gave everyone to take it all in, and he had already received some riveting responses.
"Oh really, hm? It's fine if not all of you are attuned to the lifestyle of mutual killing- every time, there's just some people who aren't up to snuff with the others. People tend to snap in order moreso than at the same time, so I'm not surprised- besides..." he added. "Some of you... are more suited to the role of 'victim'."
He straightened his stance, before hearing the rest of what people had to comment.
Upon Petre's insight, the boy would realize that the explosive was a time-controlled, manufactured version that began counting down once kicked by Kobayashi. It seemed to be activated by impact...
At Kiyomine's question, Monokuma spoke up again.
"Seen this before? Oh, sure I have!" he responded with a peppy tone. "Don't you kids start thinking you're special snowflakes or anything- I've already tried this game a couple times before this batch of lab mice- and each time, it's basically the same result. Given enough time and pressure, one of you people is going to lose it just a bit. It's a nice little something called despair- sort of like sadness, sort of like fear, sort of like anger... just this deep, bottomless hole of negative emotions in your heart that can only be filled by the accomplishing of a task. Ironically, make that task something destructive and it only tends to fester! Kind of beautiful, really." he explained.
And then, well... there was Zulfikar.
"See? One of you is already pretty off the deep end."

The announcement came, sung out to all of the students in the mansion. And before Calhoun could even begin heading to the ballroom, the insufferable Haruka yanked on her arm and literally dragged her there. Despite her protests, the singer soon ended up in the ballroom with a sore arm. As she was released, she scowled at her aggressor before turning to face the hologram giving them a lecture. That is, until the lights went off.Calhoun just sighed. Technical difficulties, of course. She'd had her fair share after all - there's no way you could perform on stage without... them. She'd just... have to wait... for the power to...... ...Slowly, she regained consciousness. Very slowly. Her arm still hurt, but more from a bruise now. Had she fallen to the floor?Voices echoed through her head, as if distant. Some she recognised - her fellow students. But one was new, shrill, fake, like a cartoon character. With her head still slightly fuzzy, and slowly getting back onto her wobbly feet, she tried her best to focus on what was being said."...this place's rules...""...what's happened!" "...trip's been extended..." "...nobody's coming for you...""JUST SHUT THE FUCK UP! YOU PIECE OF SHIT!" Haruka's sudden outburst snapped Calhoun out of her stupor, like a drill sergeant whipping a private into shape. Calhoun's eyes swept to the other girl's location just in time to see something - a bear? - be tossed into the air while an identical bear watched. Then, it exploded.
The singer almost leaped back in fright - what the hell was going on? What had happened to the meeting they were at? People were yelling, some looked like they were going to cry. Meanwhile, the voice she'd been hearing finally found an owner - the cartoon bear staring and smiling at the group.
"Whoever wants to leave, I just have one simple request that anyone could theoretically fulfill- commit a little homicide!"
Blink. Stare. Blink.
H-Homicide?
"But if any of you would be willing to kill one another ... do away with everyone else ... off with your head!"
K-K-Kill? Had they- would they really-
Her eyes swept around the room, from person to person. This was... absurd, right? She didn't even realise she was shaking as the damned bear kept speaking. But at this point, she wasn't listening. She couldn't hear anything. Her head was filled with thoughts, fears, worries.
"N-No!" She cried, suddenly, her voice harsh as if choking back tears. "This isn't- isn't right! W-W-We wouldn't, r-right guys?" Her arms wrapped around herself, clutching herself as if trying to steady her already shaking body. "N-nobody would even... think of..."

The world slowly came back into focus. Rubbing the back of her head Izumi felt like she had been knocked out, but couldn't remember getting hit by anything. Considering the heights of the students closest to her, they obviously weren't able to reach that high, but that meant there's another person that appeared. . . and took all of them out at once? No, that's not possible.
Then again, a talking stuffed animal did just take over the whole building. Who knows what is really impossible anymore. It took a while to fully process what was even going on right now. At first Izumi believed none of this was real—just a hallucination, or part of some messed up dream—but as the nightmare continued and explosions took place, the fear finally started to take hold. No escape, no rescue, and only one way out. Watching most of the others panic didn't make it any easier for her to calm down. The idea of being trapped was enough to get her heart racing, even though they couldn't prove it was true.
Actually, all of this only mattered if what that bear thing said turned out to be true. Sure, the guy succeeded at being creepy, but it's not like he had any proof. Besides, they were all stranded on a deserted island. This was Japan. People knew where they were. Of course he'd want to convince everybody that they couldn't leave without. . . hurting someone.
“Alright, shit, just shut up already!” That sentence came out louder than intended. The anger kept Izumi from worrying about things that didn't matter because they weren't true. Devilkuma needed to stop talking nonsense and they could all go back to relaxing. “There's no point in listening to you ramble on. You're just trying to piss us off, waiting 'till somebody's dumb enough to try and—” She couldn't finish that thought. Saying it would cause it to be true. No one would actually try to murder a person they barely met. Since no one had any motive to kill, they'd all be safe.
The idea that this devil bear was a lying piece of shit was all that kept her breaking, like. . . whatever their names were.
