Books had always given a little comfort to the therapist, after all libraries could be found in most places. Sure this was grander than what he was used to, but still had that nostalgia one could get only from the smell of books, new and old. Like most libraries it was quiet as well, and seemed pretty safe from Ai, or at least he'd be surprised to see such a thing appear in such a dated library....He didn't know why he didn't trust the programme, there was just something that threw him off about the thing, it was too perfect for some reason, too smooth, too flawless. Plus, by the nature of stories, there must be something that'll go wrong with the thing eventually. Doubting the programme had no downside, he was either going to be right or pleasantly surprised. He didn't trust anything that only Simulated emotions, he needed things that had genuine emotions...Something he could read fully.
Anyway, the library was pretty calming here regardless of the grand scale of the place. He smiled as he browsed the wide selection of books here, finding himself by the fantasy section. He had always enjoyed seeing what some people could come up with, seeing the great worlds and stories the mind could create in such a way. He recognised a few titles, but most he had never had the chance to read. Oh man, it sure was exciting to have the opportunity to read so much whilst he was here, in-between their charity work that was. As well as that, he hadn't even looked at the crafts sections origami books yet, nor the Spy tales this place was sure to have. He gave a hum of excitement as he thought about all these things, almost sad he wouldn't have enough time to read everything of interest the library contained. Here's hoping the actually let you take books out here, he could just imagine how calming reading one of these would be just before bed if he wasn't too drained or exhausted.

Haruka's main paradox was that, while she liked reading, she almost never had time for it. The last time she remembered actually making time to sit down with a book was in her junior high school years, and she could barely remember anything about it. However, since nothing was happening at the "peace conference" so far besides the students tittering about aimlessly without any direction or meaning, but Haruka was different. After her disagreeable encounter with the German boy, she had made up her mind to settle down with a book, perhaps a compilation of Chinese poetry or something of that manner, as, unlike the other students in the manor, she set goals and met them.
However, something came between Haruka and a nice, small book - another person. They were standing in the middle of the library, much like a child without their mother, staring at all the books on the countless shelves like they were having trouble comprehending them all. After a bit of confusion on her part, she recognized him as Tottori, the...psychiatrist? No, therapist, wasn't it? A therapist could be...well, they wouldn't have any trouble seeing reason. It probably wouldn't be hard to have him convince everyone that she was the best choice to lead the Peace Talks, once they went underway. It was another goal of hers.
"Hitoshi Tottori, isn't it?" Haruka extended a hand, smiling. "I am Haruka Kobayashi, S-H-S-L Seitokaicho. I am pleased to make your acquaintance, and you should be pleased to make mine." She briefly flipped an errant hair from her face, but she kept smiling as pleasantly as she could.

He glanced around, hearing his name being spoken. Whilst the other talked, he looked her up and down a bit, ah yes, he certainly recognised her from the introductions. She seemed just as stern in a person as in her introduction, perhaps even more so. Gladly, he shook her hand, smiling and giving a cheery greeting, the contrast amused him for a reason he couldn't place, wondering if it was noticeable to the other as well.
"Hitoshi Tottori is right, Ultimate Therapist" He nodded, giving a firm hand shake. "It's good to meet you too, Seitokaicho huh? That's a fancy way to say Student council head" It seemed very few people here seemed to be Japanese fully, at least this one seemed to have strong Japanese that was easier to understand. He had nothing against who he had spoke to so far, their accents were just a little stronger than what he was used to. He smiled a bit and put his hands to his side once the handshake was over, feeling a little relaxed that he could use fancier words without fear of a misunderstanding. "If you wish, you can call me SHSL Ryouhoushi to be fair, haha"

Haruka sighed with relief. Finally, another Japanese person! Personally, she never liked it when Hope's Peak announced that they would be opening its doors to international schools. Didn't other schools like it open in other countries? She had vaguely remembered hearing that, but she couldn't be sure since she cared so little.
"Well, it is the proper way to pronounce it," She paused for a moment, but she already had planned what she wanted to say next. "I'm assuming you're too timid to want to be the leader of this peace conference? What would I have to say to convince you that I am the right choice?"

Victor was going into the library trying to find some intelligence, literally. He had very little intelligence, so he thought that he could find and gain some knowledge by reading a book. looking around he saw little books that he could read, much less understand all the big word, and different languages to add to that. so he decided to try something simpler, a pretty picture book he found in a corner. the cover had a big fuzzy bear and a jar of cookies, so Victor was naturally interested. Picking up the book and holding it in one hand, as he had his beloved cow plushie in his other hand, he wandered away to find another book. He turned a hall to see two other people, one looking rather friendly and the other had a certain intimidation to her. but he smiled and waved the hand holding the cow plushie regardlessly. It was good to make friends and he decided the best way is to walk up and maybe talk to them. so he walked up to see what they were doing. turns out they were talking, in Japanese, a language that Victor was familiar with, but knew little with. focusing himself to try and find out what to say, he caressed the cow plush gently like a little child, and finally found the right words.
"um…ahh…howdy! nice to see… um….you guys again!" he said happily in Japanese with a strong southern accent, only pausing to take the time to think about what he was going to say, because of his low I.Q. with his tall muscular stature of 6'5, he probably looked like a stupid oaf, stupid, but kinda pitiful with the cow plushie in his hands.

The thought of who would lead the peace talks hadn't even entered Hitoshis mind yet. He had no issue with whoever it would be, so long as they were an alright leader. Personally, he felt she was a little too intimidating for the job, too strict so to say. People may have trouble raising issues against her due to the atmosphere she gave off, that was Hitoshis only issue with her leading the peace talks. Wondering if he should say it, he bit his lip a bit as he thought. This turned into a nervous smile and slight head tilt to the other "I'm sure you'd do great but--"
Before he could raise an issue, he glanced over to the new approaching figure. Man, he towered over Hitoshi, but seemed perfectly innocent enough. A good distraction from this whole leader debate. He smiled and greeting as he waited for the other to talk, noticing the others movements with the cow plush. He seemed a bit nervous but with the Student Council head here, Hitoshi couldn't blame him in the slightest. He had to look up as the 'oaf' spoke, his stature would have been intimidating if it weren't for his body language, which was more like a child than anyone of a threat.
"Good morning, it's good to see you too...Um, Victor right?" At least he could remember this one's name. Then again it'd be had to forget, he was certainly memorable. Though his talent had slipped Hitoshis mind, he decided not to ask that. Assuming that Victor would tell them regardless.

Haruka's attention was grabbed by the sight of another man, blonde, muscular, towering, coming in from the hallway. He looked brutish, with little intelligence, and the stuffed animal he brought along with him and the fact that he was investigating a children's book confirmed this. He was simply a child...no, he was a toddler... " um…ahh…howdy! nice to see… um….you guys again!"...And of course, he was an American. Haruka shook her head, causing her hair to slightly twirl. "Do not use that word, 'howdy'. Only brutes, idiots, and Americans use that word, and, apparently, you're all three," She ignored Hitoshi 's too-kind greeting and crossed her arms, facing this little boy completely. "Now, tell me, who are you, why should I even care, and why do you think you deserve to be here? Because, frankly, you simply don't."

Victor smiled at the friendlier looking boy, finally remembering him as Toshi, the therapist. He seemed to be pretty laid back, and Victor nodded when he said his name. The other person, haruka, was even more intimidating, and when she started to cal victor all those names he tensed up and started to feel pretty self conscious about himself. So being an american is wrong? Victor had always heard bad rumors that people thought less of Americans, so were these true? Clutching his cow plushie even closer to him, a look of worry and discomfort painted his face. Looking around for an answer as he thought about why he was here in the first place. He hoped it was because of his talent, but there was only so much one could do with a cow. Perhaps he was representing all the southern community for the peace talks? that could be it. Maybe he and amelia would be the american represenatives for the whole Peace talk issues. nervously looking at the ground and not making eye contact with Haruka, he held the cow plush close to him. The girl in front of him definitely was imtimidating, and Victor was half curious what would happen if he ever got on her bad side, but decided not to try it.
"Me miss? i guess i'm here to speak in the peace talks with the rest of your guy's? the name's Victor, the Ultimate Rodeo, and… er… i guess you don't have to care miss….haruka? but i..er… i'll try my best to get along… i think…" he said sounding more and more unsure as he went

Someone at Hope's Peak decided to invite someone with the 'talent' of torturing and abusing animals to an important peace conference?" Haruka rolled her eyes. "Believe it or not, the only reason you're here is because the people who put together this gathering only wanted an American, which there appear to be several here, so, face it, you might as well leave now. You're just not wanted. "Besides, why would we want some simpleton brute who lugs around a child's toy and thinks reading a children's book is an idea of quality literature?" Haruka kept staring at that stuffed cow toy, her desire to pull it from Victor's hands and pulling it's head off increasing by the second, though she kept her slight smirk on the whole time. "You're a disgrace to this Hope's Peak Program and this event. I'd recommend leaving this country and looking into the Hope's Peak clone that exists in the United States, if there even is one, and assuming they'd want someone as slow as you, as here, at this conference, you're just filler - disposable, unwanted, and someone that won't lead to anything great happening."

"Hey hey" he interrupted Harukas assault on the other. Bullying was far from something he approved of, especially from here or someone like her. He gave a disapproving look to Haruka, then looking up at Victor once more with a smile. "Rodeo is a valid talent, it looks pretty damn tricky on the TV shows and stuff! I'm sure you deserve to be here, in my opinion at least. I mean...Everyone had some reason to be here, some purpose, otherwise they wouldn't have been accepted" he hoped that was enough to make the other feel a little better. This only assured him that Haruka should definitely not lead the peace talks. "It doesn't hurt to be pleasant to everyone you know. We all are here for a while so it's best to try get along at least, and saying stuff like that won't help" He had looked back to Haruka to say this, still smiling gently, treating both the same.

"But why would they let someone like him be allowed to a meeting of the brightest minds in Japan? He obviously has the mind of a little child, perhaps a elementary schooler," Haruka turned towards Hitoshi fully, his face twisted in confusion, and didn't act like the 'Rodeo' was in the room. "His 'talent', if you can even call it that, has nothing to do with socialization or conversation or negotiation. As far as I'm concerned, he just doesn't need to be here. We don't need a person who likes to ride animals against their will for fun defiling this mansion with their underachievement and lack of proper skills."

Victor's face looked slightly satisfied that he was indeed a representative, but then turned rather upset when he figured out the rest of what she had to say. He thought about the thought of animal abuse and his talent. "at least i'm not like what the people in spain do.." he mumbled, his frustration and rage growing by the second. Toshi's words calmed him down for the most part, but when the next verbal barrage came at him, all the anger in him ignited. cracking his neck and straitening his posture, so he looked less like an oaf and more like a menace. Grasping his cow plushie, he gently set down the picture book he was reading and looked at Haruka, his eyes glowing like there was an intense fire in them. he didn't like how she could be so bitter just because she was superior than most people. Stepping forward so he towered over them even more, he decided that he should speak his mind about this.
"miss? I agree that…that you're pretty dang smart. but that doesn't mean you can just..er.. snap out at people. I'm sorry, But i plan on staying in this game, and if you don't like it you can just…just er… skeedaddle. Maybe you could try working with other people as…equals" he managed, all in english, his rage fully present and notable. He had about enough of her, but he hadn't resorted to violence just yet. but if the situation got too out of control, he wasn't afraid of destroying a few things in a rage.

I'm sorry, But i plan on staying in this game, and if you don't like it you can just…just er… skeedaddle. Maybe you could try working with other people as…equals" Haruka looked the American dead in the eyes as he cracked his neck, a petty attempt at threatening her that didn't work. "If you're thinking of hitting me, I'll have to inform you that I was born with Osteogenesis Imperfecta...oh, I'm sorry, you don't know what that means, do you? I have very frail bones. If you hit me with those grotesque muscles of yours, you'll likely break something of mine, and I will hit you with so many lawsuits you will be in financial ruin for the rest of your pitiful life." She sighed as he started speaking in English, his face still angry and his brow furrowed. He looked like someone had just told him the restaurant was out of hamburger patties or whatever Americans get furious at. "Oh, please, keep losing your temper. It just goes to show that you're really not fit for this type of conference, along with your stuffed cow and your lack of fine dress clothes. If you'd like, I could tell whomever is in charge that you're leaving at your earliest convenience. I'm sure that trying to convey that sort of thought is hard in a language you have such a small grasp of." Haruka looked at Hitoshi. "Well, since the American is obviously in a bad mood, I will take my leave before things escalate and he assaults me, as people like him are wont to do. I must, say, Tottori, I am very dissapointed in you. I'd expect that someone who is learned wouldn't be blinded by their innocence and be so unaware as to how the world truly operates." She turned her head, not giving any eye contact to either of them, and left through the doors, not bothering to wait for a response.

The tension that grew made him gulp a bit and step back slightly. Sure if he did actually go to hurt the other he would have tried to help, but so far his pleas of 'why don't we all calm down a bit' seemed to have been ignored. He had many ideas to intervene, but it seemed to be all over before he could. Needless, he felt a little useless for not preventing this little spat, but arguments can't just start over seeing someone of a different culture.
When Haruka spoke to him, he looked straight back at her. Being shunned for not allowing an onslaught of someone who clearly isn't as mature (sorry) as the rest of them was hardly reasonable. Due to this, he didn't mind it so much. Sure it was a little hurtful, but he was sure she'd be over it soon enough. He sighed and looked at Victor, crossing his arms slightly.
"You okay there, big guy?" Big guy, a term of friendship or of forgetting the others name. Only he knew for sure. Still, concern was obvious in his face as he hoped the other calmed down a bit. "Take some deep breaths okay? In and out. Iinnn...And out" He demonstrated as he spoke, talking him through a breathing exercise.

Victor's face remained angry, but the light in his eyes dimmed when Haruka made her threat. Victor understood her point: if he attacked her, she'd sue his pants off, and he'd probably have a much harder time of living. Watching her leave, and having a sour taste in his mouth, he didn't know how to feel about this situation, if he won or loss it didn't matter, and hey, can't be friends with everybody. Victor was still pretty tense, but looked down at the concerned and mentally stable (no problem) boy, the..ultimate therapist? Victor did as he was suggested and took deep breaths, which helped considerably. he felt his heart rate drop back to normal and all the blood leave his head. His grip on his favorite and only plushie softened, and when he felt call he sat on the ground criss cross applesauce, his face looked much more calmer, but slightly worried of the little argument that just went down. Maybe he shouldn't of opened his big mouth to say otherwise, and he mostly blamed what happened on himself and his stupidity, which he thought was a pretty intelligent observation that he made.
"yeah… thanks fella. that did good… maybe i.. um..er… shouldn't have opened my trap…" he said, this time in japanese, and paused a bit to figure out the correct pronunciation of things
