The Basics
Name: Anzhelika Elisaveta Artemievna
Nicknames: Angie
Age: 16
Grade: First Year
Appearance: (Faceclaim is Verniy from Kantai Collection)
Hometown: A slum in Russia
Talent: SHSL Unlicensed Medical Practitioner
Mini-Profile: Angie grew up in the slums of Russia, one particularly known for its two rival gangs. It wasn't rare seeing common folk get caught up in one of the many fights, but never was a finger laid on the Artemievna family. Her family ran the only medical center in town, aiding anyone regardless of their affliction or past. Angie was born into this respected sanctuary, and she quickly took up her family trade under the guidance of her father and medical books written by past generations.
Due to some horrible events that unfolded, Angie eventually found herself living in Japan with her well-off, unmarried uncle. All she brought with her was the empty medical kit used by her father (she wasn't allowed to bring the sharp, pointy tools that were normally kept inside). It was in this country that she gained Hope's Peak's attention. On a fateful day, the cafe Angie had grown fond of was the scene of a madman shooting spree. While the gunman was eventually brought down by some brave folks, the wounded laid scattered around in pools of growing blood. Acting purely on instinct, Angie quickly unpacked her restocked med-kit and stabilized those that she could. An estimated seven more people would have died if not for her actions.
This act of hers caught the attention of newspapers and law-enforces alike. The police that arrived cuffed both her and the gunman, roughly handling the both of them as they were forced into the back of a police van. Pictures and videos of her being treated in the same way as the gunman murderer sparked public outcry and rage. How dare they treat the girl who saved lives in such rough fashion? Pictures and videos were taken, sparking public outcry and rage. While the policeman technically did nothing wrong, emotions cared not for technicalities. A kid like her had no license to do what she did, but the support of a loud public bent the arm of the law. She was let free to go, but this experience added more wounds to an already scarred girl. Throughout this whole ordeal, the media vultures who hoped to make a quick buck out of her sad tale were both numerous and relentless. Annoyed, pissed off and desperately yearning for her once quiet life, Angie waded through the horrid mud of each day just to wake up exhausted the next. A week after her release, she woke up to her uncle holding a particularly important letter from a particularly famous academy.
Favorite Color: Blue (#3232ff )
The Details
General Personality: Down to earth and cynical would describe Angie best. She had faced enough hardships to ruin the happy-go-lucky attitude that teenagers normally have, but she's perfectly contempt with the person she became. But things weren't always like this. For a period of time, Angie was pleased and happy with her new life in Japan. That attitude would have probably continued for far longer, if not for that one damned day which made a nation's spotlight shine directly at her. Her hope for peace had been cruelly shattered, ruining the enthusiasm and optimism that she was gradually building up. Apathetic, tired and sick of it all, Angie turned her back to a world that bared its fangs one too many times. Needless to say, Angie isn't a person that actively seeks the company of other people.
Her passive expression is one that shows hints of sadness along with a touch of annoyance. Not exactly the most approachable person around, Angie appreciates whoever takes some time of their day to talk to her. She tries to show this by smiling whenever she's conversing with others, but it often comes across as strained and sad. Regardless of all this, she'll talk to anyone who's willing to talk with her - though they'll probably have to be the one that starts the conversations. Only speaking up whenever necessary, Angie won't hesitate to break out of her shell if the situation requires her medical knowledge.
She's the type of lone-wolf that sometimes longs for the company of others. While she's confident in her own abilities, she'll only have to go through minor hesitation to look for the aid of others. It's simply a fact that a sole person can't do everything on their own, and Angie would only ask others for help if she's sure it's something that she can't do herself. While prideful of the skills passed down to her by her dad and through the numerous books she had stayed up late to read, Angie isn't the type to boast. She sees this knowledge as one of the few things she could control and use in this world, and it's extremely upsetting when hiccups happen during treatment of her patients. If and when it happens (nobody's always successful), it feels like reality was taunting her, saying 'Hah! Look at you failing at the one thing you can do. When will you learn that you can't control anything in this world?'
Likes: Strawberries, Alcohol of all sorts (A habit she picked up from her time in her hometown), Documentaries, Autobiographies, The night sky

Hobbies: Stargazing, Watching Documentaries, Reading autobiographies, Reading fictional books every now and then.
